October 21st Meeting

In Case You Missed It!

Delane M. came by to offer us a fundraising opportunity to sell food or do a concessions on at an event V-PAC is hosting called Duets, November 9, 2008 in the Pollock Theatre. There goal for this event is to bring down the grand piano to the floor and its cost is $400.

Delane said candies could be sold infront of the HILB and to request a canopy.

- Jensens gives away free pastries, to contact them ask for Dave store Manager at 346-9393.

Anthony Armenta joined us in our meeting to offer his help in answering any questions that LLN club members might have and will discuss the issues with Carlos Maldonado. Also this years Winter Retreat will be coming soon on December 12-14 2008 or January 14-16 2009 for the purpose of bringing teamwork.

LLN President: needs donation letter to present to our donor as soon as possible, of an amount of $500. Possible candy sale? Should we do another sale like the desert sampler? Pick up water and ice contact Jerrie on that.
LLN Vice President: Voting will be going on October 21-22 in front of HILB last day to vote for her as queen.
LLN Treasurer: $2000 in LLN account. Bring chocolate candies on October 22nd to be sold.
LLN Secretary: Will email LLN minutes by tonight.
LLN Rep.: Rosa attended the ASCOD meeting on Monday, October 20, 2008 and presented our requisition of 175 dollars for the altar prizes and it was denied. Rosa will sell chocolates to V-PAC.

VII. Upcoming Events:
Homecoming October 25th- Susan Cabeje needs votes last day to vote is October 22nd from 10-2pm. Need to know about our spot to sell.
Día de los Muertos lies on Sunday- Flor Diaz will be doing flyers for this event. Those who are interested in making masks after Fridays October 17, 2008 meeting are welcome to stay with Patricia. Tamales will be sold at $1.50 each on El Día de los Muertos on November 2nd 2008, Senorina will be taking orders.
Fashion Show- A possible time change on the time of the fashion show. Flor Diaz will be doing flyers for this event and also girls who are modeling in the fashion show should meet with Flor in discussing make-up some time before the actual date of the fashion show.
VIII Advisor’s Comments: Senorina talked to Carlos Maldonado if the tamales could be delivered on campus and he said no. She is still taking orders. Sign- up with Senorina for the Dia de los Muertos event.
Five advisors donated each twenty dollars for the altar prizes the rest will be taken out of LLN account.
